I graduated in forestry, and my primary interest is in discovering and understanding the principles of how trees function in forest ecosystems rather than their practical use. In this sense, my "knowledge acquired during studies did not go to the forest" but to the research laboratory of the Forest Botany Department where I work. My research is focused on various aspects of wood formation, structure, and functioning. Wood is a  fascinating tissue that I find captivating to study at all levels, from subcellular to environmental. It conducts water and mineral salts, while also providing mechanical strength to the plant. Additionally, my research includes the biology and ecology of woody plants of foreign origin that are found in Polish forests. In recent years, I have also developed a passion for the history of botany, which shows that "we see further because we stand on the shoulders of giants" (St. Bernard of Clairvaux), and what we create today is based on the generational achievements of our predecessors and masters. I am also passionate about social work, especially promoting botanical knowledge, mainly through the Polish Botanical Society.

I treat everything that lives with respect. I like gardening. Farming is an activity that restores a sense of meaning and hierarchy of values in a world that creates artificial needs. Not having my own, I like to beautify my friends' gardens. I like water, swimming, sailing. I have an interest in linguistics, the history of science, discoveries, culture, and art. I appreciate beautiful language, both in speech and writing. Classical music allows me to envision and paint pictures in my imagination, which I am unable to do in reality, but I would like to.

Students, Ph.D. students, and junior scientists who know what they want to do but need help knowing where to start, I can offer my experience and practical skills. My expertise includes didactics, planning and organizing research work, searching and selecting literature, applying for research funds, preparing works, and reviews, and developing research results. I can also help you present them in various forms for different audiences, such as reports, studies, conference presentations, diploma theses, scientific publications, and popular science events. For those who are still unsure about their path, I believe self-discovery and authenticity are crucial. Therefore, I can also support you in discovering your true potential.
